What golfers say
The Fortress is in great shape, with really nice greens and fairways, and the staff are friendly. It's a tough track that'll test you if you're not straight, and the range isn't as good as the course itself.

How we score
The NearGolf quality score (0–10) is a weighted blend of reviews, difficulty, price and course pedigree — the same score shown in the app. We label courses we do not have enough signal on as "Not yet rated" rather than guessing.
What the score reflects here: Immaculate conditions, fast greens, and challenging layout.
Honest data on 11,977 U.S. courses across 51 states — booking info verified, quality scored only where we have real signal.
