What golfers say
Loyal Oak has some really big fairways and greens that are usually okay to putt on, and pace of play is often good. However, a lot of the grass is dead or patchy, especially on the fairways, and the course condition is a common complaint. The clubhouse and carts are also pretty dated, and it's cash only.

How we score
The NearGolf quality score (0–10) is a weighted blend of reviews, difficulty, price and course pedigree — the same score shown in the app. We label courses we do not have enough signal on as "Not yet rated" rather than guessing.
What the score reflects here: Poor maintenance, dead grass, and hard dirt fairways.
Honest data on 11,977 U.S. courses across 51 states — booking info verified, quality scored only where we have real signal.
