What golfers say
Hollenback is a cheap, walkable 9-hole course that's good for beginners or a quick round. The greens are usually in good shape, but the fairways and tee boxes often need some work. It can get pretty crowded, and some people think the prices have gone up too much for what you get.

How we score
The NearGolf quality score (0–10) is a weighted blend of reviews, difficulty, price and course pedigree — the same score shown in the app. We label courses we do not have enough signal on as "Not yet rated" rather than guessing.
What the score reflects here: Decent greens but poorly maintained fairways and tee boxes.
Honest data on 11,977 U.S. courses across 51 states — booking info verified, quality scored only where we have real signal.
