What golfers say
Blacklick Woods has a beautiful, rolling layout with lots of ponds and no houses around, making for a scenic round. The 9-hole course is a great option for beginners and is free for Franklin County residents if you walk. However, multiple golfers have pointed out that the fairways have very little grass, making play difficult.

How we score
The NearGolf quality score (0–10) is a weighted blend of reviews, difficulty, price and course pedigree — the same score shown in the app. We label courses we do not have enough signal on as "Not yet rated" rather than guessing.
What the score reflects here: Mixed reviews on maintenance; nice layout but patchy.
Honest data on 11,977 U.S. courses across 51 states — booking info verified, quality scored only where we have real signal.
