21,000+ courses ranked by real golfer ratings — not by who paid for placement. Book directly at the course's own tee sheet. No markup. No middleman.
Most golf apps make money when you book through them. NearGolf sends you straight to the course. Different model, different incentives.
Courses are ranked using a quality score that weights reviews by count — a course with 3 glowing reviews isn't ranked above one with 300 solid ones. Every course earns its spot on merit.
No sponsored placementsWe send you directly to the course's own tee sheet — foreUP, Chronogolf, Club Prophet, TeeItUp, or their website. You pay what the course charges. Full stop.
No booking markupEvery course pin is color-coded: green means one-tap booking. Blue is GolfNow. Amber means call. White means no online booking yet. No surprises when you arrive on the tee sheet.

Course locations and names come from OpenStreetMap. Ratings and review counts come from Google Places. Booking platform data is scraped and updated nightly. Tee time slots come from direct integrations with the booking platforms.
We use a weighted quality score that factors in Google star rating and review count — courses with more reviews get more weight. Distance from your location adjusts the order when you share your location. No course pays to rank higher.
GolfNow is a marketplace that earns a fee on every booking. NearGolf is a finder — we send you to the course's own tee sheet so you pay the course's real price. We cover 21,000+ courses, most of which aren't on GolfNow at all.
No. Your location is used only to sort nearby courses and is never stored on our servers. On the web app it's only requested when you tap the locate button — never automatically. See our Privacy Policy.
Yes — email [email protected] with the course name and what's incorrect. Course data refreshes nightly from OpenStreetMap and Google; corrections to those sources propagate automatically.
NearGolf started as a personal project — a better way to find public courses nearby without wading through GolfNow's sponsored listings or paying a markup on tee times.
The goal is simple: show every public course in America, rank them honestly by what real golfers say, and send you straight to the course to book. No accounts, no fees, no friction.
Course data refreshes nightly. If something's wrong, let us know.
Open the web app right now, or download the iOS app for a faster experience with tee time tracking and course history.
